Testimonials

“For many years, my daughter received voice instruction at Hellyer Performing Arts Center. Private lessons provided her with a solid foundation in music, but the most rewarding experience for me was the intergenerational choir. The time my daughter and I spent together learning challenging music, practicing and performing musicals and enjoying the camaraderie of other young people and their parents – it was absolutely priceless!”

“Love the Hellyer Performing Arts Center home to BCPAI! My daughter attended since kindergarten and learned to play the Piano and also the Violin. My son has also been taking Piano lessons since preschool (watching his sister learning to play the piano) and has now started Violin lessons. I am impressed with the professionalism of all the teachers at the Hellyer Performing Arts Center and I thank Ms. Wendy Hellyer who runs the Center like a tight ship. Music opened up a whole new world to my kids! Now no occasion is complete at home without the kids getting everyone to join in a round of singing while they accompany on the Piano and Violin.”

“In my years studying piano and voice with HPAC I have received more happiness and knowledge than I could have imagined.  During my vocal lessons the studio was quiet and conducive to interesting techniques and I, as a senior student, found it most enjoyable to learn how to sing and to enjoy singing properly.  I was introduced to many styles and forms of music and enjoyed all of it.  I was born into a musical family but I myself needed to understand the craft involved.  It’s never too late to learn.  I thank my teachers and mentors in this wonderful art form for helping me.”
